New HW agent not connecting to network

Hi I have a Hardware agent that has been plugged into power and network, but does not come online.

we get no link lights on our switch when plugging in the device. A known good device like a laptop works just fine in the same port

The agent has power and shows a white light like the other agents I've installed. Wondering if this is a DOA agent, or what next steps I should take.

Sorry, didn't see this notice about the post.

The agents are fully tested when prepared before shipping so it should be fine.
Of course, something could have happened during or after shipping.

I don't think it's DOA but it definitely has a problem. Just for the sake of testing, can you try it on another switch?

We've seen cases where it won't come up on some switches but will on others. Maybe even try connecting it directly onto your router/firewall and see what happens.

Thank you for your help! Switching to another switch resolved the issue. I do have a question regarding the newly available SMS feature: Is this offered as a per-device add-on, or can we purchase a package of SMS credits that can be shared across all our agents as a pooled resource?

We spent some time talking about this and agree that SMS credits should be across one or more agents, not purchased for one agent only.

We are coding it now and it should be available in the next day or two if there are no issues.

This has been done. SMS counts are now across however many agents someone has.
