Hi,

is it possible to set specific web pages as targets? I would like to be able to test web site which is up a split-tunneled VPN to see if an issue is related to the VPN or the local internet.

You can monitor a web service if you are able to install an agent on that server.

As long as you have access to the operating system that the web service is running on and can install an agent on it then yes, you can use the Security Scan in the Extended reports level. In fact, once you have an agent installed on that server, you can monitor other ports and even know if unauthorized ports become open that you never or accidentally allowed.

In terms of VPN, we don't recommend using an agent to monitor VPN networks due to the very nature that they create a tunnel from one point to another so you won't be able to monitor your provider specifically for example. However, from a purely interest point of view, it can be interesting to see the results.

Thanks for the quick reply! I was more wondering if I could point an agent that's installed on my laptop (e.g.) at a specific web server? So I could have two tests being run from my laptop - one to the standard internet target and one to an internal webserver (thats over a vpn) so I could compare the performance to each?
